Mexico- Policia Federal
 (Mexico Federal Police)

The Policia Federal was the national federal police force for the country of Mexico from 2009 to 2019. The agency was under the direction of the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (Secretary of Public Security). It was the national highway patrol agency, the Mexican border security agency, it provided security at Mexican airports, seaports and other transportation centers, as well as a national police force. Formerly known as Policia Federal Prentiva (PFP) (1998-2009), on May 29, 2009, the agency was re-organized and the name was changed to Federal Police. The Policia Federal Prentiva had been created in 1998 in order to have a unified, national police force. It had been created out of several other law enforcement agencies that had merge to form the national police force. Some of  those agencies were the Policía Federal de Caminos (Federal Highway Patrol), Policía Fiscal Federal (customs agency), the Center of National Security And Investigation, and the Mexican army's 3d Brigade of the Military Police.

On June 30, 2019 the Policia Federal was disbanded and replaced by the Guardia Nacional, a new Mexican national gendarmerie force.
